Compared to the previous two years, a record-high number of companies and associations were established in Latvia despite the prolonged economic recession – 13 380. Moreover, when naming their companies, owners did not spare their sense of humour, SIA Firmas.lv Chairman Juris Rožkalns (Rozkalns) informs the business news portal BNN.

He indicates company founders have mocked both the economic crisis and everyday life, naming their companies as: SIA Anticrisis, SIAJobs – ARE, SIA World Takeover Plan B, SIAFinancial Injection, SIA Society’s Treasury, etc.

The aggregated data of Firmas.lv show last year and this year the range of companies in Latvia has been supplemented by such enterprises asSock Mice, AdvenTourists, Phallus, Johaidi, Potato Eaters, Lux-Armani, Obana, Bump Project, PRO LOM, Starjobs, Zilite Forwarding, etc.
